Editorial Team & E-E-A-T Principles
Repowering Hub is operated by Sol del Lily S.L., based in Marbella (Spain). Editorial responsibility for all content lies with the company's editorial team.
What we stand for
We run Repowering Hub as an independent B2B knowledge portal for the German wind energy sector — and in particular for the upcoming repowering wave. Our content is aimed at project developers, engineering firms, planning offices, municipalities, landowners and local residents with an interest in the topic.
We take the demands placed on energy content seriously: when it comes to subsidies, permitting and economics, the decisions are investments spanning many years — mistakes cost money and trust. That is why the rules set out in our Methodology apply to us without exception.
Areas of expertise
| Area | Depth of coverage |
|---|---|
| Permitting & emission control law (BImSchG (Federal Immission Control Act), TA Lärm (Technical Instructions on Noise Abatement), LAI guidance, § 35 BauGB (Building Code), EEG (Renewable Energy Sources Act), WaLG (Onshore Wind Energy Act), § 45b BNatSchG (Federal Nature Conservation Act), FFH (Habitats Directive)) | continuously maintained + sources |
| Expert reports (noise, shadow flicker, ice throw, avifauna, bats, LBP (landscape conservation accompanying plan), structural stability, fire safety, visualisation, EIA screening) | detail pages per report type |
| Economics (LCOE, IRR, capital expenditure, OPEX, market premium, PPA, land lease) | dedicated calculators + methodology |
| Site & technology (full-load hours, wind resource, low-wind sites, turbulence per Frandsen, IEC turbine classes) | tools + explanatory content |
| Decommissioning & recycling, repowering process, market | in-depth detail pages |
For specialist questions that go beyond an overview and an initial estimate, we refer you to qualified engineering firms (see Contact).
What we do not do
- No individual legal or tax advice — depending on the case, this is the responsibility of a law firm, a tax advisor or a registered legal services provider (RDG (Legal Services Act)).
- No hidden advertising — affiliate and paid content is clearly labelled as "advertising" (§ 5a UWG (Act Against Unfair Competition)).
- No recommendations without expert review — listings are selected on editorial grounds, not driven by reach.
Independence & financing
Repowering Hub is financed through transparently labelled advertising listings, affiliate links to vetted software providers (e.g. WindPRO, openWind, WAsP) and the referral of qualified lead enquiries to engineering firms. The selection of the procedures, expert reports and turbine types we present is independent of commissions — a provider with a higher affiliate yield receives no preferential treatment in our content.
Currency of content
- Changes to legislation or subsidies are updated within a few weeks; articles carry an "as of" date.
- For major content corrections, we transparently note this at the top of the article.
- Market figures are stated together with the source year.
Contact & notes
